Whether you are starting your journey of faith or are farther down the road in strengthening your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, many avenues for Christian education are available through McCordsville United Methodist Church. Christian education is a life long process of learning and sharing God’s Word and striving to live a Christ-like life. Michelle Scott chairs our team of Christian educators and for more information on our church’s education programs, you may contact her here.

Sunday School classes are held each Sunday at 10:45 a.m. There are two classes, one for pre-school and kindergarten and the other class for elementary school children.

Two adult education classes are held each Sunday at 10:45 a.m. One adult education class is led by our Lay Leader, Jim Turney, and is conducted in the Library. Pastor John Myrland leads another adult education class or discussion group in the sanctuary and these discussions typically focus on how Christianity can be applied to current events and everyday life.

To grow in your understanding and interpretation of the Bible, our Bible Study group meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Narthex September-May. Consult the church calendar to see what area of the Bible the group will discuss.

Kids of all ages love Vacation Bible School (or VBS) at McCordsville United Methodist Church! In June 2008, children ages 3-11 from the church and local community had a great week as they had fun in "God's Big Backyard" and learned to serve family, friends, neighbors, community and Jesus and grew in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
At VBS, children will learn of the love of the Lord through a week-long program of music, arts and crafts, story time and games.
