Pastor John Myrland received his call to the ministry in January 2003.  He then spent the next three years studying and preparing for work in the church and attended the License to Preach School in the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church in February 2006. His first ministerial appointment was on July 1, 2006 at McCordsville United Methodist Church.

Jim Turney has served as the Lay Leader of McCordsville United Methodist Church since 1987. In his role as a church leader, among other duties, Jim may act as a liaison between the pastor of the church and the congregation. Jim is also very instrumental in the acclamation of a new pastor to the church. The pastor relies on Jim to assist with any activities at McCordsville United Methodist Church.
