Do you have a passion to serve? We have many opportunities to serve including:
Food Baskets - Each year we put together holiday food baskets for Christmas which include at least enough food for a holiday meal and toys if the family has children. Watch for more information coming soon.
Dinner - On the 2nd Saturday of each month (January-August) we serve a Community Dinner from 4:30-7:00 pm. This also includes our Thanksgiving diner that takes place the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Volunteers prepare, cook and serve meals to the community.
Breakfast - On the 3rd Saturday of each month (January-October) the Men's group prepares and serves Breakfast to the Community from 7:30-10am
These meals are free-will offering so no one is turned away who need a good, hot meal. We are always looking for new faces to help prepare and serve these meals. (Note that meals vary in the fall due to Holiday and may not take place)
On the last Thursday of every month, a group travels to Tuxedo Park Baptist Church on the east-side of Indianapolis to help serve at their Bread and Word Dinner. Tuxedo park opens their food and clothing pantry and serves a meal each Thursday leaving from our parking lot at 5:00. We provide a dessert and volunteers to help serve. If you are interested, look for the sign-up sheet on the entry table or speak with Mike Edson. Learn more about Tuxedo Park Baptist Church.
Our Food Pantry serves those those in need in the Vernon and Buck Creek Townships area of Hancock County. We collect donations of canned and boxed food as well as personal care items. Items can be dropped off on Sunday's just inside the main entrance doors. To make other arrangements you can contact our office.
