Behind the Scenes

What It Takes to Keep the Food Pantry Running

Each week, a great deal of preparation happens behind the scenes to ensure the Food Pantry can serve our neighbors with dignity and care. From receiving deliveries to organizing food and packing bags, many hands work together long before pantry doors open.

These efforts include receiving deliveries from partner organizations such as Gleaners Food Bank, as well as coordinating pickups from Midwest Food Bank. Volunteers sort, stock, and prepare food so that each household receives consistent and thoughtful support.

While much of this work happens quietly, it reflects the care and commitment of volunteers, partners, and donors who make this ministry possible. Every box packed and shelf stocked represents a neighbor served.
