Tuxedo Park Partnership
Serving Neighbors Through Practical Care and Christ-Centered Hospitality
McCordsville United Methodist Church partners with Tuxedo Park Baptist Church in Indianapolis through monthly service and ongoing clothing donations.
This partnership is one way our congregation helps support neighbors with practical care, warm hospitality, and Christ-centered service.
Bread and Word Dinner
On the last Thursday of each month, volunteers from MUMC travel to Tuxedo Park Baptist Church to help serve at their Bread and Word Dinner.
Tuxedo Park also offers pantry items, fresh items, and access to their Clothing Center. MUMC volunteers provide dessert, help serve the meal, and offer a welcoming presence to those who come.
Volunteers generally leave McCordsville UMC at 5:00 p.m.
Clothing Center Donations
Throughout the year, MUMC collects clothing and practical items for the Tuxedo Park Clothing Center.
Because storage space is limited, collections are focused on seasonal needs.
Current seasonal focus: Spring/Summer clothing.
New or packaged adult socks and adult underwear are always appreciated.
Donations may be placed in the wooden box located in the coat closet near the side entrance.
A Helpful Note About Donations
Tuxedo Park has shared that dress clothing and dress shoes are not usually needed by those they serve. Gently used casual clothing, practical shoes, seasonal items, towels, bedding, and new packaged basics are often more helpful.
