Our Worship Style
McCordsville United Methodist Church offers a worship experience that is traditional in structure and joyful in spirit. You’re welcome to participate at your comfort level — and if you’re visiting for the first time, we recommend starting with our Plan Your Visit page.
What You’ll Experience
Music & Liturgy
Worship includes hymns, choir music, and traditional liturgy, along with times of prayer.
Scripture & Sermon
We engage Scripture through readings and a message that connects biblical truth with everyday life.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to receive.
Children’s Church
Children are welcome in worship, and Children’s Church is available for elementary-age children during the worship service.
Greeting & Fellowship
During the service, there is a brief time of greeting one another — a simple way we welcome both visitors and church family. After worship, you’re welcome to visit, ask questions, or head out quietly.
What Should I Wear?
You’ll see everything from jeans to dress clothes. Please wear what’s comfortable for you. There is no dress code.
Seasonal & Special Worship
Throughout the year, we observe the liturgical seasons — including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. Special services and music are planned during these meaningful times.
