A Season of Resurrection Hope, Renewal, and New Life
Easter is not just one Sunday. It is a fifty-day season that invites us to live in the hope of the risen Christ.
In the life of the Church, Easter Season gives us time to remain with the good news of the resurrection. It reminds us that the empty tomb is not the end of the story, but the beginning of resurrection life lived in faith, hope, and witness.
Follow the Easter Season
During Easter Season, we share weekly reflections on our Facebook page to help carry the hope of the resurrection into daily life.
Follow along with us as we move from Easter toward Pentecost.
What Is Easter Season?
Easter Season, sometimes called Eastertide, begins on Easter Sunday and continues for fifty days until Pentecost. During this season, we celebrate the risen Christ, reflect on the new life found in him, and look ahead to the coming of the Holy Spirit.
It is a season of joy, renewal, and growing understanding as we learn again what resurrection means for everyday life.
Walking the Easter Journey
After the resurrection, Jesus continued to meet his followers in their fear, confusion, grief, and hope. He spoke peace, opened the Scriptures, and revealed himself in unexpected ways.
Easter Season reminds us that faith often unfolds over time. The disciples did not understand everything at once, and neither do we. Yet Christ continued to come near.
Living the Resurrection
- Hope: The resurrection reminds us that despair does not have the final word.
- Renewal: In Christ, we are invited again and again into grace and new beginnings.
- Witness: Easter faith is meant to be lived, shared, and carried into the world.
Easter Season calls us not only to celebrate what God has done, but to live as people shaped by resurrection hope.
Looking Ahead to Pentecost
Easter Season leads us toward Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit is poured out upon the Church and believers are empowered for faithful living and bold witness.
