Lent 2026

A Season of Reflection, Grace, and Renewal

Lent is a 40-day season that invites us to slow down, reflect honestly, and make room for God’s renewing grace.

Ash Wednesday: February 18, 2026 • Easter Sunday: April 5, 2026

In the United Methodist tradition, Lent is not about perfection or performance. It is about turning toward God again—through prayer, simplicity, generosity, and acts of mercy—and allowing God to shape us as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. During worship, ashes are often placed on the forehead as a visible reminder of our human frailty and our deep need for God’s grace.

Ashes remind us that repentance is not about shame, but about returning to a loving and merciful God.

How We Will Walk Through Lent Together

Our Lenten journey is shaped week by week through worship, preaching, and prayer. Reflections connect directly to the scriptures and messages shared each Sunday, allowing us to listen together for what God is saying now.

Families may also choose a simple daily calendar or giving practice to involve children and youth.
