Indiana Historical Society: A Treasure of History

The Indiana Historical Society (IHS) ranks among the oldest and largest historical societies in the United States, proudly referring to itself as “Indiana's Storyteller.”

It is located in the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center at 450 West Ohio Street in Indianapolis, Indiana, within The Canal and White River State Park Cultural District. This prime location is adjacent to both the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art. Notably, the Indiana Historical Society holds the distinction of being the oldest state historical society west of the Allegheny Mountains.

This beautiful quilt showcases the Southern Wedding pattern in sophisticated hues of cream, tan, and blue (the image does not do it justice), making it a lovely addition to any room. Measuring 104x104, it is perfectly sized for either a King or Queen bed.
