Who we are

McCordsville United Methodist Church is a community of loving people/believers that have banded together to fulfill our call through serving Christ in this world.

You can expect to be welcomed with a smiling face and open arms. Everyone is welcome in our building no matter who you are or where you come from. Come as you are. Whether you want to wear your Sunday best or be relaxed and casual, you are welcome. We want you to feel comfortable while you are here. If you are new, we would be happy to show you around our building. Just ask one of our greeters or ushers, and we will be happy to help.

Traditional Worship Leader

TIM MURFIN

Tim has volunteered his time as Worship Leader since 2014. Tim and his lovely wife Jill, have been attending McCordsville United Methodist Church since 2012. Jill can be found on the Piano most weeks as part of our music team as well.

In addition to being our Traditional Worship Leader for our 9:30 Service, Tim also serves as Choir Director and Chairman of the Worship and Praise Team. Tim oversees all music for the McCordsville United Methodist Church.

Tim finds his life verse in Philippians 4:13 
"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

 
 

Praise Band Worship Leader

Cory Shover

Cory has been volunteering as Worship Leader for our contemporary service since October of 2018. Prior to that he helped to serve within the Traditional service as a member of the choir since joining MUMC in 2015. Cory’s passion for worshipping God through music, and watching copious amounts of Marvel movies, is what drives him and leads him through his everyday life.

Most of Cory’s time outside of church is spent with family and friends. Cory even met his wife Kristina right here in our sanctuary. They began dating in December of 2018 and were married in October 2019 in our sanctuary. Cory and his wife, Kristina, welcomed twin boys in the spring of 2022 and they look forward to “train them up in the way they should go,” as Proverbs 22:6 says, and they believe that MUMC is the best place to do so!
